First Lomographs

Here are some of my first lomographs from my Fisheye 2, took this using fresh Fuji Superia X-tra 400. I enjoyed shooting with bulb setting and multiple exposure, mostly outdoor.

Can't express the fun and excitement of seeing my firstlomographs. Lomography is really fun, it's a freestyle photography. You don't have to think, you can just shoot and shoot and shoot!

Toy Cams

Early this week, I was checking some stuff online when I saw the post about toy cams for sale. I checked on the site at multiply and I had fun browsing the products. He's selling used Jap toy cams for a very cheap price. Some are Php 800, Php 400, there's even a set of buy 1 take 1 for only Php 450. Imagine 2 cameras sold for only Php 450. Who would not want to buy those cams? There are also some cams worth Php 1,000 and up. Since then, I've been browsing the site and choosing which cams I would buy. I only alotted Php 1,000 to spend for toy cams.

Just this evening, I met up with the seller and his wife, I bought 4 cams for only Php 1,000 and he gave me a 1 free film. I don't exactly know the cameras I bought, just a little info and that's it, I just felt like I really wanted some new toys. One is underwater camera with film, it's a disposable camera, one time use only but I'll try to check if it's possible to reload film there. Another is the Jazz 135 tele-panorama toy cam, it's a manual cam with flash, 27mm optical lens, 35mm film. The other 2 cams are from the buy 1 take 1 section, the PC-606 is a manual cam with hotshoe, 35mm film and the last one is the one is the InexTron, focus free, 28mm lens with vignette according to the seller.

I'm now very excited to shoot! shoot! shoot!

Everything change... that's one thing we must always keep in mind. We must learn and grow from experiences coz if not, we become stagnant. We must let things flow, let life move on and be vibrant. Sometimes there are people who wanted to have their lives move, see other perspectives in life, experience different things with other people, grow and learn from pain. There are people who wants their freedom, not to be free to have another relationship but to be free to control their own lives. Not imprisoned nor confined in one place and let someone else control your life for you. There are times that they just want to grow and mature on their own. A time they need for themselves, a time to fix their persona. It doesn't mean that you're being selfish and that you're depriving others to your world, but who knows this might be the key in order for a person to be ready to face the world. This might be the time that you can say that you're complete, that you're whole again after you've been damaged by people whom you have loved before. This time in life is very important and shouldn't be miscontrued but understood by many. It's better to set someone free and let her grow than have her selfishly.

College Friends

I was supposed to be out on a shoot... (with other group of friends)
Yesterday should have been a busy day... but no! I've decided to be with my college friends, spent a little time catching up. I opted out of the TF plan...(sorry guys!) and I wasn't able to deliver the shirts. (whaaa...)
We stayed at Fuzion in Greenbelt... I actually missed some of their stories coz I came late. Haha! But it was fun just seeing them and being with them even for awhile. Cheesy!

Lovin' Lomo Fisheye 2

I have a new toy! Yipee!!!

I gave in to lomo fever and finally got my fisheye 2!

I was actually considering buying a dslr but since lomo cams are cheaper, I settled for one. I've been using my lomo fisheye for less than a week now, I actually haven't seen any picture I took. Funny, but just the mere fact that I'm using it for a couple of days now, I'm really having fun and I'm looking forward to have my rolls developed. I still have one more roll to use to complete the five rolls before having it developed at digiprint.

I'm really lovin' my fisheye 2! I think its' features are really perfect for me. It looks so old school but its' effects are really stunning. It has an enormous field of view which takes almost half of the world around you and compacts it in a circular image. It distorts and bends the subject around the edges, stretches them towards and away from the lens, and converge its lines towards the center. Using fisheye 2 with an extreme close up subject makes it really wacky. For example, close up of a face is really funny and a bit odd because you can see a person's nose sucked up into the lens while their forehead and nose slides backward. They become distorted and weird but it's amazing. Another great feature of fisheye 2 is the huge depth of field which actually makes the image's subject and background crispy clear. But here's one of my favorite in photography, the bulb setting and I'm so glad fisheye 2 is capable of this. You can have a long exposure setting wherein you can keep the shutter open for as long as you like. It can capture lights especially on a nightime shoot. To pair with this feature is the multiple exposure, the fisheye 2 it allows to take two or more shots in one frame. After the first shot, you just have to press the mx button then you're ready for the next one, and this is possible for as many times as you like. Fisheye 2 also has its built-in electronic flash but you can use lomographic colorsplash flash or any other manual hotshoe flash.

With all these cool features of lomo fisheye 2, it's like going back to childhood days. Learning and exploring things while having fun. Be as carefree as you want and love it!
